Bob Vanderslice is a successful community bank officer with over 30 years of experience in finance. He is the President and CEO of Pennsville National Bank where he provides good-paying jobs and full healthcare benefits to 43 employees. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
He has been a strong leader in the business community, serving as the former Chairman of the Salem County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and an active member of the Penns Grove Rotary Club.
In 2011, Bob was elected as a Salem County Freeholder where he was faced with a $13 million deficit in his first year. Bob put his experience in business and finance to work for the taxpayers in Salem County, making the tough decisions necessary to quickly put his county back on sound financial ground.
Bob believes in the power of a quality education. At the age of 49, he had the unique experience of graduating from college with his daughter from Liberty University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He served as the Chairman of the Salem County Technical & Vocational School Advisory Board and was a board member of the Salem Community College Foundation.
Bob is an active member of the Sharptown United Methodist Church where he serves as lay leader and teaches an adult Sunday School. As a lifelong resident of Salem County, he was proud to receive the Salem County Citizen of the Year award in 2009.
Bob and his wife Sandra live in Pennsville, NJ. He is the proud father of two adult children, Adam and Amber.
